The conditions looked good as the sun came up over Botany Bay. It was 7am and there were the usual bike riders and dog walkers about while the ring and sign on sheets were organised in the park but no divers!

Sure enough from various directions the spearo boats came steaming in and by 7:30am nearly fifty divers in fifteen boats signed on and gathered for the safety talk and at 8am wandered off to the boats to gather about 500m away for the boat start flagged by Macca.

The Dolphins won the day well followed by the Whalers a narrow second over the Dragons. Young Aaron Pucko (791) won the day and as he had done on the two previous occasions he dived this year. Special mention though to the runner up Dolphins Paul Marsh (749), his diving and fish finding ability has increased in leaps and bounds over the last couple of years.
It was a very good days diving, Kurnell being an excellent venue for hosting a competition.
The next Alliman competition is at our most southern venue Port Kembla on Sunday 1st November 2015, meet at the boat ramp, sign on from 7am, competition start 8am and finish at 1:15pm.
Port Kembla is always a very interesting dive with the islands, breakwall and beach ends.
See you all down there!
