NSW STATE TITLES

The NSW State Spearfishing Championships aka the “State Titles” are held annually, usually the third weekend of May, locations are rotated year to year by Zone – Central Coast, Sydney and South Coast.

The NSW Championship is a two day Rockhopping event, usually a 5 hour day on Day 1 and a 6 hour day on Day 2.  The event offers a great opportunity to dive new area and to socialise with divers across the State who enter.  All financial USFA members are welcome to attend the NSW Championships.

All competitors must be financial with the USFA. Can join on the day or here: Membership
Competition will be based on the Sydney Metro Score Sheet.
No fishing allowed in the designated competition areas the day before the competition.
Safety gear to be presented on sign on – Float, Alpha Flag & Whistle

  • The top ten places.
  • Two top places in Sub-junior, Junior, Lady, intermediate, Senior, Veteran and Master Categories.
  • First two places in the nominated pairs.
  • First two places in the nominated teams.
  • Most Meritorious Fish Open.
  • Most Meritorious Fish Junior (include Sub-junior and Lady)
  • Heaviest Fish Open.
  • Heaviest Fish Junior (include Sub-junior and Lady)
  • Most Species Open
  • Heaviest fish species (selected before event)
